A DAY FOR A MIRACLE
(DAS WUNDER VON KÄRNTEN)

Based on real events, A Day for a Miracle tells the story of a three-year-old girl from Austria who falls into the lake behind her parents’ house in 1998, and is under water for 30 minutes before she is found. Nobody believes she has a chance at survival when the young cardiovascular surgeon Dr. Markus Thalmann takes up the seemingly hopeless fight for the young girl’s life. His rescue writes medical history.

A Day for a Miracle went on to win a slew of awards, topped by an International Emmy in 2013 for  “TV Movies / Mini Series”.
