With heart and brain, the art historian Ernst takes his new love Judith by storm. When the two move in together, however, Judith notices a change – Ernst is withdrawing more and more and seems distracted. After an examination, there is certainty: Alzheimer's. The word still seems heavier than its symptoms, but the disease creeps into Ernst's life, but unstoppably, and into that of his family. The result is an intense and intimate drama, with a top-class cast and excellent acting, which has received numerous television awards.
